BlackBird’s New Fall/Winter Collection 2012 Now Available
Earlier this year, we at Bows-n-Ties.com signed an agreement with designer label BlackBird to be their authorized US retailer. What drew us to this brand is the designer’s eye for unconventional designs and unique fabric choices. We were so impressed with their wool slim ties, that we decided to carry their entire line of skinny ties from the current Fall/Winter 2012 collection. Although we are still in the midst of summer, we already received BlackBird’s new Fall/Winter collection earlier this week. Below we are featuring nine ties out of the new collection. Each tie is hand crafted from a unique worsted wool blend, and is available here at Bows-n-Ties for just $18.90.
Some Tips to Match These Ties
BlackBird ties are slightly narrower in width. These 2.75 inch wide ties look best when worn with slightly narrow lapeled suits. Best are single breasted, 2-button jacket styles. Also, because the worsted wool gives these ties a more casual look, they actually also work well in a more casual setting. Our tip: wear these ties with dark wash jeans, sports coat, and patterned dress shirts (such as gingham, tattersail, and narrow vertical stripes). Solid Collection:
Below are three out of the new solid color collection by blackbird. This collection is available in dark olive, wine-red, camel, espresso, gray, charcoal, and navy.
Retro Stripe Collection:
The retro-stripe collection by blackbird combines two complementary, yet different colored stripes. The stripes are spaced wide apart and are easily matched with busy patterned dress shirts, This design is available in four colors: Brown, Midnight Blue, Burgundy, and Gray.
Regimental Stripe Collection:
The busiest of BlackBird’s designs. Available in eight colors: Brown, Tan, Gray, Smoke-Gray, Cherry-Red, Burgundy, Olive, and Black.
