Who's mad for plaid?  We certainly are.  Plaid is everywhere in fashion from three piece suits, to ties to umbrellas -and we are officially addicted to its savvy aesthetic prowess in all its forms. The key to wearing plaids this Fall is all in the layering and the experimenting. Here are a few of our favorite plaid savvy ensembles.

This is one masterful look!  We adore the combination of the heavy wool plaid suit and the shockingly blue socks, and large plaid shirt and worsted wool tie.  Every detail of this look is brilliantly masculine with a slight British twist.  We can't get enough of this chestnut brown wool suit.

Plaids come in a million different varieties making it a versatile and complex pattern that can sometimes be daunting to mix with other patterns and colors.  This look above is unique and innovative in its combination of brazen patterns from a large scaled plaid suit, plaid button down and patterned necktie with a signature white pocket square.

Experiment with pairing plaids on plaids to create a fashion forward ensemble. This look of a coordinating plaid bow tie and a plaid dress shirt caught our eye.  At first glance, we weren't sure whether we like this look or hated it -but it quickly became a look that we wanted to document and emulate.

If you want to get mad for plaid and not invest in a plaid suit, the best solution is to invest in a strong plaid patterned tie.  Plaid ties and plaid bow ties are a smart and effective way to add the panache of plaid into last year's suits, blazers and overcoats.
