The Five Worst Dressed Dictators

You would think those people who seek power, influence, and attention the most, would care about how they presented themselves by the way they dress. After all, clothing can have a huge impact on how we are perceived by others. Surprisingly though, when it comes to the wardrobe choices of some of the world’s most powerful men, fashion and style often falls by at the wayside. This phenomenon now inspired us to take a closer look at the wardrobe choices of some of the world’s most notorious dictators. After analyzing the style choices of dozens of dictators, tyrants, and totalitarians, we nominate the five men below as “Worst Dressed” of them all.

Although there was some tight competition to be the Worst Dressed Dictator of all time, Mr Muammar Gaddafi has earned himself the top spot. His flashy gold colored robes, 1990s era sunglasses, and crazy homeless man’s hair were all solid reasons to give Gaddafi the #1 spot on this list. Read the full story here…

From solid olive colored military ensemble to his tri-colored Adidas track suit, Fidel Castro’s wardrobe choices will not earn him any style points. In fourth place on our list is 87-year old Marxist president Robert Mugabe. Baseball caps and loud and clashing colors were certainly reasons to nominate him for this “worst dressed list”, but what convinced us more than anything else is the fact that Mugabe actually started his own clothing line using his signature as the logo.
